Beijing Finance Street embodies both China's ambitious future and Beijing's rich cultural heritage. Set squarely within the city's historic center, BFS defines a new business district five blocks west of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. It lies just within the Second Ring Road, which marks the edge of the ancient walled city. Despite the brisk pace of design and construction, historic elements and old-growth trees were preserved and woven into the development.
