IBTC India Basin Technology Center Jones, Partners: Architecture San Francisco 2000-2002 This unique mixed-use telecommunication, business services and retail building was designed for a site in the City's Bayview/Hunters Point community, immediately adjacent to the new Third Street light rail line. The project included street level retail facing a landscaped public plaza along Third Street, 114,000 square feet of telecommunications facilities, 40,000 square feet of office space, and parking for cars and bicycles. The design of the building's facade was inspired by traditional African fabrics in support of the community's heritage and pride.
