ON Old Navy Flagship Store & Old Navy Storefront Standard Holt Hinshaw Architects Boston, Massachusetts and Everywhere  1999 Old Navy sought to build an urban flagship store at Boston's Downtown Crossing. This design called for replacing this former Woolworth's brick infill with an internally-lit sign/screen of steel and translucent glass. In another project, Old Navy was looking to update and economize their standard design for storefront facades. Prefabrication technologies were studied to produce an easy to assemble structure that built upon their existing identity and harmonized better with their established interior design.
