SJREP San Jose Repertory Theater Holt Hinshaw Architects San Jose, California 1993-1997 As part of a project to revitalize its urban core, the San Jose Redevelopment Agency commissioned this high-tech theater. The building balances the exuberance of an attention grabbing cultural facility with the good neighbor urbanism of the building at its stone-clad retail and lobby base. Within the main auditorium, 584 guests are accommodated in an intimate relationship with the stage and the technology of theater.
